Learners will receive the opportunity to use something that no longer has a function and re-purpose it to create an artwork or display by incorporating LED lights. Learners should aim to design and create their artwork such that it can be displayed in an exhibition to educate viewers about a topic. Throughout this project, learners will navigate the concepts of electric circuits: specifically, series and parallel circuits, resistance, current and voltage. Learners will also receive an introduction to proportionality (mathematics), Ohms law (science) and the scientific method.

We have chosen the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals as the framework for the students to base their projects on. It is of vital importance for learners to understand the sustainable development goals and to learn how to practice them in order to be future ready.
